Genuine Vintage West German Army "Bundes- Eugenio" 100% Pure Wool Blanket New Mint. These are VERY high quality, New unissued wool blankets used by the German Bundeswehr from the 1960s through today. They are constructed out of a nice heavy duty 100% wool( 80% Virgin Wool &20% Processed Wool) The color is sort of a brown-ish gray and Olive Green. very similar to the early Bundeswehr wool uniforms.
These say "Bundes Eigentum" which means "Federal Property". These are probably the highest quality surplus wool blankets I've seen in a while, as wool products in general are getting quite expensive and difficult to source.
German Army "Bundes-Eigenium" (Federal Property in German) Wool Blankets. The blankets are stamped 200x210cm (approx 79" x 83"). There are hemmed edges. These blankets are thick and heavy (weighing just under 7lbs). Beautiful ,Highest quality wool with great Cozy feel.
Both the Bundeswehr (German Army) and government emergency services utilized these blankets throughout the Cold War and after reunification.

Care
Wool doesn't require much washing. If the blanket gets soiled, it's best to spot clean it with soap and mild water. If it gets absolutely covered in vomit or something, you can probably try to machine wash it in 30 degrees Celsius. Use wool care products and lanoline to make this fresh and "alive". Hang dry. For basic care just airing out and brushing the blanket is enough. Ahhh, wool.
