These say "Bundes Eigentum" which means "Federal Property". These are probably the highest quality surplus wool blankets I've seen in a while, as wool products in general are getting quite expensive and difficult to source.
German Army "Bundes-Eigenium" (Federal Property in German) Wool Blankets. The blankets are stamped 200x210cm (approx 79" x 83"). There are hemmed edges. These blankets are thick and heavy (weighing just under 7lbs). Beautiful ,Highest quality wool with great Cozy feel.
Both the Bundeswehr (German Army) and government emergency services utilized these blankets throughout the Cold War and after reunification.

Care
Wool doesn't require much washing. If the blanket gets soiled, it's best to spot clean it with soap and mild water. If it gets absolutely covered in vomit or something, you can probably try to machine wash it in 30 degrees Celsius. Use wool care products and lanoline to make this fresh and "alive". Hang dry. For basic care just airing out and brushing the blanket is enough. Ahhh, wool.
The finest wool blankets in Post WWII technology, including a permanent anti moth treatment. Unfortunately it's also known as a carcinogen but if used as an over blanket (not next to the skin) and loose fibers are removed (don't breathe them in) you have an amazingly heavy, warm blanket. Perfect for Bushcraft, emergencies, back of the truck, hunting camp etc. I bought three 2 white for the truck and a red one for home after it gets dry cleaned (loose fiber removal) and I'm going to sew on buttons for a removable cover to take on and off. Similiar blankets are 4x expensive (albeit without the cancer causing chemical). Cheers
This is my second order from this seller. Both blankets are too tier German blankets. almost queen size, heavy, and thick.
I purchased the older stock blankets for the higher quality. I have no experience with the more modern production.
Classic surplus smell, but not the bad kind. a week or two airing out will fix that no problem.
To give you an idea of how warm these are, I dbl folded the blanket to use, the area of the fold and outside the blanket were measurably "cold" compared to the inside of the blanket. That is usually good heat retention or your heat escaping would warm the blanket in the folds and the outside. Buy a few of these. I may go back for a third soon. I've seen modern wool blankets not stand up to this quality.
Excellent blanket, top of the market for military surplus AND upper tier for the civilian market. You'll have to spend another $300 to get a blanket this good. Buy them now while they last
Good heavy quality wool from the 1960’s! Bought two with red and this time two with white. They are currently in vac bags, because it is 90F. These were expertly packed and quickly shipped. Great vendor!

If you’re looking for the heaviest, highest quality wool blanket on the market, this is probably it. Extremely well made with nice edge stitching, in new condition. This is genuine and true to size and not undersized/cut like being sold on many other surplus sites (ask me how I know). Very nice blanket and great store. Thanks!!!
